As you saw, i ended up only making one post yesterday. I would've made more but i went to my grandma's to visit my cousin, Greg. It was actually really fun(:
So today, i'm going to write about....crap, i seriously just forgot. Like legit, i had it in my mind and then boom, it was gone. I'm going to think now...........Well i really can't remember, and this is aggravating because i think it was pretty important. Darn. I'll just have to settle with some random news up until i remember. Maybe that will help.
Lets begin with my Grandma's not been up to par. That sucks because there's so much she can't do and she hates it. Hopefully she'll feel all better soon. My Great uncle is sick, but just with a blood clot that will hopefully go away soon. My lock in is friday, and i'm so excited! Noah (a nice kid), Ben, Daniel (an annoying kid), Ashton, Josh, Lily, Abi, Kelsey, and Nicole will all be there. Anyways, the lock in is going to be super fun, and i can't wait! Plus i'm going to Abbies Saturday and hanging with her and Lizzy(: So yeah. That's the news i have.
Okay, so what i was thinking about parenting. So, you know how parents have the ability to do anything when raising their children. They could make angels, brats, rude kids, brilliant ones, over achievers, samaritins, ANYTHING. One things parents just do though, is pass down things. Not even intentionally, but just things they learned when they were growing up. What i've noticed though, is that in some ways you don't even have to pass things directly like that. What i mean is, parents pass their way of thinking. Like i see things generally the way my dad would, and his family. They pass that on, and eventually you do things the way they did, but on your own. For example; i wash the dishes the same way as my dad, but i know for a fact my dad never taught me to do the dishes. He worked all the time or something. But i soak them just like he does, mainly because we both have the idea that it's easier to get food off when it's soaked, and it is. My mom however was raised to wash dishes as soon as they finished eating, which to her makes more sense since it just comes right off. Really, it's just little things like that. Things i do just like my dad and his family, but i was never taught directly or anything. It's just weird how parents have that power over you.
Weird don't you think? I mean think about it. I could list thing after thing after thing that i get from my parents and their family. I think it works with me more so than my brother and sister. My brother and sister are my moms children. They are Justus'. Me however, i'm a cook. I have some justus in me though. But anyways, it's so easy to tell where i got what. Loud, independent, attitudey, stubborn, sarcastic, finger pointing, lots of junk, care free, fearless, that's all my cook side. Hard working, smart, out doorsy, talkative, judegmental, easily fed up, sneaky, that's Justus all the way. Those traits can go both ways though. But really, that's all i had to say. You should think about it sometime. It's actually pretty cool.
